Sometimes The News Does More Harm Than Good

A recent story, outlining Xanax abuse could have been mistaken for an all points bulletin for where to buy Xanax. Instead of reporting on how to get help for Xanax abuse, the story explained how addicts buy the drug, where to buy it, and when is the best time to purchase the drug.

So, for all those people who need some real information on Xanax abuse and how to stop it, here it is:

Xanax is a benzodiazepine. It is in the same family as Valium, Ambien, Clonipin, and Ativan. It is extremely addictive and it is extremely dangerous to come off of. This is mostly due to the seizures it often creates. There are other serious withdrawals from Xanax, those include, hallucinations, insomnia, paranoia, headaches, vomiting, body aches, depression, vibration-like feelings throughout the body, nerve damage, anger and anxiety. In some extreme cases, people sometimes feel suicidal.

Xanax is abused because it does provide a calming-like feeling for the body, this is mostly due to the fact that its original intention was to handle anxiety in patients.

The only real way to handle a Xanax addiction is to enroll in a drug and alcohol rehab. If you or anyone you know is in need of help for a drug abuse problem please call 866-422-4650 for immediate help. Xanax addiction does not have to destroy any more lives.
